Safe Ride (Saferidecab) provides comfortable, safe, and affordable taxi rides — airport transfers, city travel, and daily commutes — through the Safe Ride customer app and the Safe Ride Captain driver app. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
1. Who we are
We operate a trusted cab service with experienced drivers, live ride tracking, and 24/7 availability. You book from the customer app; nearby drivers receive the request and accept within seconds. After the trip you can rate and review the ride so we can keep service quality high.

2. Information we collect
Depending on whether you use the customer app or the driver app, we may collect:
- Account details: name, mobile number, email, city, profile photo, and password or OTP login.
- Location: pickup, destination, and live location while you book, wait, or take a ride. Drivers share live location with nearby passengers so pickup is faster.
- Ride data: route, distance, fare, vehicle type, promo codes, ratings, and cancellation reasons.
- Payments: wallet top-ups and ride payments processed through Razorpay. We do not store your full card or UPI PIN. Razorpay may process payment identifiers as their processor.
- Driver documents: licence, vehicle papers, photos, and bank / UPI payout details needed to verify captains and pay earnings.
- Device data: app version and push-notification tokens so we can send ride updates.
- Support messages: emails or calls you send to our office or support contacts.
3. How we use this information
- Match you with a nearby driver and complete the trip safely.
- Show live tracking, fare estimates, and ride history.
- Verify drivers and vehicles before they go online.
- Process fares, wallets, driver recharge plans, and withdrawals.
- Send trip, payment, and safety notifications.
- Improve pickup times, fares, and support — including 24/7 service.
- Meet legal, tax, and safety obligations in India.
4. Location
Location is required for booking and navigation. The customer app uses your location to set pickup automatically and show nearby drivers. The driver app uses location to share live position with passengers who have an active request or trip. You can turn location off in phone settings, but then booking, matching, and tracking will not work.
5. Sharing
We share data only as needed to run the service:
- Customers and drivers see the limited profile needed for a trip (name, rating, vehicle, live location during the ride).
- Payment gateways (Razorpay) for checkout and settlements.
- Map and routing providers to calculate pickup, destination, and distance.
- Law enforcement or regulators when Indian law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Retention
We keep account and ride records while your account is active and for a limited period after closure, as needed for refunds, disputes, tax, and safety. You can ask us to delete your account using our Data Deletion page.
7. Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and limited staff access to protect your information. No method of transmission is 100% secure; please keep your OTP and password private.
8. Your rights

9. Children
Safe Ride is intended for adults. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, email us and we will delete the account.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the apps or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the apps after an update means you accept the revised policy.
